About Us

Howard Prophet has been in the European car repair and service industry for over 30 years.

In 2012 he branched out with his wife and business partner Maryann Rizzo, and together they opened Apex Motor Works.

Howard is at the top of his industry, well known for his vast collection of diagnostic equipment and knowledge of european cars and drivers education car set up.

How we got our name

Howard enjoys tracking his BMW and the name “Apex” refers to a specific point at each corner on a race track…

To Apex a corner

The apex or clipping point is often used in motorsports.

The apex is often but not always, the geometric center of the turn.

Hitting the apex allows the vehicle to take the straightest line and maintain the highest speed through that specific corner.
